Welcome to information central for Children's Conferences International, it's staff, history, and programs.

About Us

Our goal at Children's Conferences International is to provide quality, Biblically-based programming to Christian events both small and large. A Children's Conference is typically a two day event, but can be adjusted to accomodate any length of time, from half-day to weeklong events. The conference combines songs, stories, crafts, games, and Bible verses to teach the children concepts from God's word.

Started six years ago to assist Christian organizations with planning children's programming for their events, CCI operated a number of conferences for two years before we began our fulltime ministry. Our list of clients includes local, state and national home education conventions, state and national Baptist conventions, church sponsored Vacation Bible Schools and camps, and much more. Attendance of our conferences has been anywhere between 25 and 1200 children, and we often have over 300 volunteers. In six years of operation CCI has never held a children's conference that they have not been invited back to. As an example, in 2002 we held 37 events in 21 states with over 15,000 children in attendance.

January 1st, 2008: CCI names new Director

Children's Conferences International would like to introduce its new Director, James Bonjour.

James has worked with numerous children's ministries over the past twelve years, most recently founding his own children's conference ministry, Joyful Kids.

James brings his unique skills as a ventriloquist and story teller to the CCI stage presentations, using humor and analogies to teach important lessons from God's Word. Thousands of children and youth have laughed and learned along with James and his puppets over the years.

James has also written and produced an audio drama series for kids, has been a Creation Zoo Tour Guide, been on staff at Summit Ministries, and holds a B.A. in Communications.

James is assisted by a wonderful staff as well as talented speaker teams who will assist in the song leading, story telling, and dramatic Bible verse memorization that makes every CCI conference a hit with both children and their parents.

Children's Conferences International welcomes the leadership of James Bonjour as we anticipate a fun-filled conference season where children are drawn into a closer walk with Christ.

History

• CCI is currently entering it's 12th year of existence as a ministry.

Over the last six years, CCI has been involved in hundreds of youth and children's ministry opportunities and has worked with over 3500 young people to serve 35,000+ children.

Biblically-based created by CCI themes ranging from Rescue 109", "Mission:Unconditional", "Ye are the Light of the World", "Adventure Safari, Growing the Fruit of the Spirit in the Jungle of Life", "A Call to Arms! Basic Training in the Armor of God", and "Frontiers of Faith, Patrolling the Range of God's Law", have been a hit with parents and children alike.

CCI began in 1996 after Brian Denton and his familiy sought to direct a children's program at a conference at which they were invited to speak and sing. After finding out that no childcare would be provided, they offered their services to plan and direct a children's program.

CCI assisted with children's ministry in India at an orphanage in Vishakaptnam. In 2002 money from offerings at each children's program was given to the orphanage and CCI was blessed to see over $10,000 raised by American children to support the purchase of a well, cows, shoes, and much more. (for more information visit www.blessindia.com).

In the fall of 2004, CCI came under the direction of Stephen & Nita Leckenby. Stephen was a part of CCI's 2001 traveling team and has assisted in the direction of CCI throughout it's existence.

Under the Leckenby's direction, CCI operated a missions trip to the country of Guatemala in December of 2005 delivering schools supplies and sharing the gospel with 600 children and their families. These school supplies were purchased by only 4 groups of children at CCI events during 2005. Click here to read the entire "Bless Guatemala" report.

In 2008, CCI named it's 3rd Director, James Bonjour from Detroit, MI. James joined CCI after founding his own children's ministry, Joyful Kids, and brought a new aspect to the CCI ministry, professional ventriloquism.
